As a Construction/Civil Material Knowledge Sourcing Specialist, you will play a crucial role in sourcing and evaluating materials for construction and civil engineering projects. Your responsibilities will include sourcing high-quality materials and suppliers, focusing on cost-effectiveness, sustainability, and compliance with industry standards. You will be tasked with evaluating the performance, durability, and environmental impact of various materials to ensure they meet project requirements. Maintaining relationships with suppliers and vendors is key to ensuring timely delivery of materials and resolving any procurement-related issues that may arise. In addition, you will review technical specifications to verify that materials align with project requirements and industry regulations. Collaborating on the development and implementation of a materials procurement strategy will be part of your role to optimize supply chain management. Keeping comprehensive records of material sourcing activities and ensuring accurate and up-to-date documentation is essential. Staying updated on new construction technologies, sustainable materials, and industry standards will enable you to recommend innovative solutions for projects.
