Civil Site Engineer

Role & responsibilities

Technical Planning & Execution

• Interpret architectural and structural drawings specific to fuel stations.
• Ensure construction aligns with petroleum industry standards and local regulations.
• Oversee excavation, foundation, canopy erection, and underground tank installation.

Site Supervision

• Monitor daily construction activities including concrete works, piping, and electrical ducting.
• Ensure proper installation of fuel dispensers, underground tanks, and pipelines.
• Supervise subcontractors and labor teams to maintain quality and timelines.

Safety & Compliance

• Enforce strict safety protocols due to flammable materials.
• Coordinate with fire safety and environmental agencies for approvals.
• Ensure proper ventilation, spill containment, and emergency access routes.

Material & Resource Management

• Track inventory of construction materials like steel, concrete, pipes, and fittings.
• Schedule deliveries of specialized equipment (e.g., fuel tanks, dispensers).
• Prevent material wastage and ensure cost-effective usage.

Coordination & Communication

• Liaise with petroleum company officials, contractors, and vendors.
• Report progress, challenges, and site updates to project managers.
• Resolve on-site conflicts and technical issues promptly.

Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain daily progress reports, quality checklists, and safety logs.
• Prepare bills of quantities (BOQ) and assist in billing and estimation.
• Document testing results for soil, concrete, and tank leak detection.

Education Qualification

B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering or Diploma in Civil Engineering
