Job Opening: Civil Engineer Solar & Substation Projects

Location: Hyderabad (with site visits across Telangana & AP)

Job Role & Responsibilities

We are looking for a hands-on Civil Engineer with strong experience in solar power plant civil works and substations, capable of independently handling BOQs, foundations, and execution support.

Key Responsibilities:

Preparation & verification of BOQs for:

Solar module mounting pile foundations

Inverter foundations / inverter rooms

Transformer foundations & bays

Substation control room, equipment foundations & cable trenches

Quantity take-off from drawings and site conditions

Cost estimation and civil budget planning

Coordination with structural designers & electrical teams

Site execution support and civil quality checks

Monitoring civil contractors measurements & RA bills

Ensuring compliance with drawings, specs & safety norms

Supporting tender & pre-execution civil planning when required

Required Skills & Experience

B.E / B.Tech in Civil Engineering

48 years of relevant experience in:

Solar EPC projects

Substations / switchyards (33kV / 66kV / 132kV preferred)

Strong working knowledge of:

Pile foundations (cast-in-situ / precast)

Inverter & transformer foundations

Substation bays & control rooms

Experience in BOQ preparation & quantity estimation

Ability to read and interpret civil & structural drawings

Familiarity with site execution challenges in solar projects

Software Knowledge (Preferred)

AutoCAD

Excel (BOQ, measurements, costing)

Basic knowledge of STAAD / SAFE (added advantage)
