Civil Design Manager / Structural Engineer

As a Civil Design Manager/Structural Engineer at our client, a global leader in water technology and services, you will play a crucial role in leading the civil engineering department and ensuring the successful completion of projects. With over 2,000 projects executed across 60 countries, you will have the opportunity to contribute to solving water scarcity through innovative solutions like desalination, water reuse, and zero liquid discharge (ZLD). Key Responsibilities: - Lead the civil engineering department for end-to-end civil engineering works. - Coordinate with the Applications team to assess the civil works scope pre-bid. - Conduct preliminary designs for prospective project structures and develop detailed BOQ of works. - Understand civil works specifications of tenders, raise queries, and resolve issues. - Collaborate with local civil subcontractors/partners to determine unit rates. - Finalize project's civil works cost estimate and associated execution costs. - Oversee civil works design, ensuring timely document submission, approval, and on-time performance. - Assist in evaluating site conditions, setting up site coordinates, and finalizing plant layout. - Lead discussions with civil subcontractors, negotiate unit rates, and finalize the civil works agency. - Project extra work to the customer, defend company claims, and settle extra claims with subcontractors. - Monitor work progress by visiting the site. - Establish a pool of region-wise sub-contractors. - Manage the civil design repository, creating standardized designs for cost optimization. - Represent as a civil leader in client interactions for all civil works-related matters. Qualifications Required: - Total Experience: 10-15 years - Education: B.E Civil Skills/Knowledge Required: - Good communication skills - Willingness to travel on-site - Knowledge of the Water treatment industry The role of Civil Design Manager/Structural Engineer requires a candidate with a minimum of 10-15 years of experience in civil engineering, capable of leading end-to-end civil works, coordinating with stakeholders, managing costs, and ensuring project efficiency.
