Description
The PQS Senior Project Engineer (Civil) role at Hitachi Energy involves being responsible for the civil design of the PQS Plant and reviewing & approving Civil Drawings & Documents developed by Sub-contractors. As a PQS Senior Project Engineer (Civil), you will continuously acquire multi-skilled knowledge of Electrical, Mechanical, and Civil Domains to deliver designs with Safety and Quality. Key Responsibilities: - Designing GIS Building superstructure, Office/Storage buildings superstructure, and HV / EHV Switchyard equipment foundations - Reviewing civil drawings and documents to ensure compliance with local country regulations - Hands-on experience in BoQ for civil foundation, superstructure, PEB structures associated with substations / switchyards - Coordinating technically with Electrical and Mechanical departments, as well as between Civil & MEP - Coordinating with Project/Tender Team for timelines, budget, risks & opportunities - Providing innovative ideas to reduce Engineering effort and continuously improving quality systems - Ensuring compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in civil engineering - Knowledge of detail design of buildings, electrical substations, and experience with REVIT or 3D CAD tools - 5-8 years of work experience in Civil design and structural design - Self-starter caliber with strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills - Experience in Project/Tender BOQ Estimation & Costing, Budget Control by Design Optimization - Proficiency in English language (spoken & written) Hitachi Energy's core values revolve around safety and integrity, emphasizing responsibility for actions, caring for colleagues, and adhering to business ethics.
