Job Description

Responsible for preparing high-quality, authentic Chinese dishes, managing kitchen operations, and ensuring high standards of food safety, hygiene, and presentation. Key duties include menu planning, sourcing fresh ingredients, leading kitchen staff, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring food quality, while core requirements often involve formal training or extensive experience in Chinese cuisine and strong knife skills. Core Responsibilities

  • Cuisine & Preparation:Prepare a variety of Chinese dishes, from traditional to modern, using specific techniques like steaming, stir-frying, and boiling.
  • Menu Development:Plan and develop innovative menus, potentially creating new recipes or adapting existing ones to meet market trends and guest preferences.
  • Ingredient Management:Source high-quality, authentic ingredients and manage inventory, ensuring proper storage and rotation.
  • Kitchen Management:Supervise kitchen operations, manage staff, assign tasks, and ensure efficient daily workflows.
  • Quality & Presentation:Ensure consistent, high-quality food, paying attention to taste, texture, portion control, and aesthetically pleasing presentation techniques.
  • Food Safety & Hygiene:Maintain the highest standards of food safety, hygiene, and sanitation throughout the kitchen, ensuring compliance with regulations.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Culinary Skills: Proficiency in various Chinese culinary techniques and a strong understanding of traditional recipes and flavors.
  • Experience: Proven experience in a Chinese restaurant or kitchen setting.
  • Kitchen Management: Ability to lead and supervise kitchen staff, manage inventory, and handle day-to-day operations.
  • Attention to Detail: A strong commitment to quality, consistency, and precision in food preparation.
  • Teamwork & Communication: Ability to collaborate effectively with kitchen staff and other departments.
  • Creativity: The ability to innovate, create new dishes, and adapt to customer needs.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
