Job Description

Assessment and Diagnosis
: Conduct psychological evaluations and administer tests (intellectual, cognitive, behavioral) to diagnose conditions such as ADHD, autism spectrum disorder, anxiety, depression, and learning disabilities.
Treatment Planning and Intervention
: Develop and implement individualized treatment plans using evidence-based therapeutic techniques tailored to the child's age and unique situation. Methods may include cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), play therapy, art therapy, and family therapy.
Counseling and Support
: Provide individual, group, or family counseling to help children develop coping skills, emotional regulation, and healthy behaviors.
Collaboration and Consultation
: Work as part of a multidisciplinary team, consulting with parents, teachers, pediatricians, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate holistic care. They may help develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) with schools.
Documentation and Ethics
: Maintain detailed and confidential records of patient progress and treatment outcomes in compliance with professional, ethical, and legal standards.
Prevention and Research
: Develop prevention programs for issues like bullying or substance abuse, and may engage in research to contribute to the advancement of the field.
