Position Summary:

Government Politechnic invites applications for a faculty position in Chemistry with a specialization or strong interest in Science Communication. This interdisciplinary role bridges the Departments of Chemistry and Communication, supporting both academic instruction and research in chemical sciences and the effective communication of scientific information to diverse audiences.

Responsibilities:

• Teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses in general and/or specialized Chemistry.
• Teach courses in Science Communication, with emphasis on communicating complex chemical and scientific concepts to public, policy, or interdisciplinary audiences.
• Conduct and publish original research in Chemistry and/or Science Communication.
• Develop cross-disciplinary curricula integrating Chemistry and Communication.
• Advise and mentor students in both departments.
• Participate in departmental, college, and university service activities.
• Engage in outreach and contribute to public understanding of science.

Qualifications:

Required:

• Ph.D. in Chemistry, Science Communication, or a related field.
• Evidence of teaching excellence at the university level.
• Demonstrated commitment to interdisciplinary education and research.

Preferred:

• Postdoctoral experience or equivalent industry/communication experience.
• Strong publication record in either or both fields.
• Experience in public outreach, media engagement, or science policy communication.
• Ability to collaborate with faculty across departments and disciplines.
