Chemist (Ranjangaon, Pune)

Job Summary: We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Chemist to join our team in Ranjangaon , Pune with a focus on water and wastewater treatment processes. The ideal candidate should have a solid background in chemical analysis and a strong understanding of water treatment parameters. This role requires hands-on laboratory experience, excellent analytical skills, and a proactive approach to maintaining compliance and supporting process improvements. Key Responsibilities: Perform routine and specialized chemical analysis of water and wastewater samples. Conduct tests such as COD, BOD, JAR test, Silica, Hardness, TDS, Sulphate, Phosphate, and PH . Operate, calibrate, and maintain various laboratory instruments. Analyze test data, prepare accurate technical reports, and interpret findings for process support. Maintain proper records of test results, equipment calibration, and maintenance activities. Ensure adherence to environmental regulations and internal quality standards. Support process engineers in optimizing chemical dosing and treatment efficiency. Troubleshoot issues related to water quality, testing methods, and laboratory equipment. Uphold laboratory safety and cleanliness standards consistently. Key Skills & Competencies: Strong knowledge of water treatment chemistry and lab protocols. Proficiency with analytical instruments (e.g., spectrophotometers, pH meters, titrators). Familiarity with environmental norms and regulatory compliance. High attention to detail with strong problem-solving and analytical thinking. Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
