A Day in Your Life at MKS:

As a “Chemist” at MKS MSD you will part of Analytical Chemistry department to support in analysis, product development and associated activities. In this role, you will report to the Associate Manager, Analytical Chemistry, R&D based in Manesar, Gurgaon. The role will be responsible for carrying out different approaches and methodologies to conduct different analytical activities related to product development, testing, qualification, troubleshooting, and process optimization under technical guidance. You will be working closely with colleagues from your own team, associate manager, manager, and other cross-functional departments. Open and clear communication with the team is expected. You are expected to come up with your own ideas and approaches to execute the tasks and duties successfully. When required, you will also act as a support to customer through routine chemical analysis, trouble shooting, process optimization, site visits and on-site troubleshooting, maintaining the confidentiality and compliance of the department and the company.

You Will Make an Impact By:

  • Performing chemical investigations as per the request

  • Identification, qualification and quantification of organic additives, and inorganic ions

  • Performing calibrations and maintaining calibration records, logbook and analytical reports

  • Instrument management in SAP-PM

  • Cross functional collaboration with other teams in a laboratory environment

  • Self-motivated and proactive actions to maintain the work culture and task completion

  • Adhere to HSE rules, conducting laboratory experiments as per ISO, SOP and WW analytical guidelines

  • Development of new methods, along with their validation, verification, and the oversight of quality and process controls within the assigned scope

  • Partner with R&D teams in the development of products and processes using analytical techniques.

Skills You Bring:

  • MSc. in Chemistry with one year of experience

  • Analysis of chemical compounds/ions and drawing accurate conclusions

  • Quick adaptability and understanding of the project tasks

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills

  • Self-motivation, out of the box thinking, self-accountability, and a strong sense of ownership

Preferred Skills: (Optional)

  • Knowledge of ISO standards (e.g. ISO 9001, 45001, 14001 and 17025)

  • Handling of analytical instruments like UV, GC, HPLC, LCMS, FTIR, titrator etc.
