Description
Key Responsibilities: Perform CFD simulations using tools such as ANSYS Fluent, STAR-CCM+, OpenFOAM, or COMSOL. Develop and validate computational models for fluid dynamics, thermal management, aerodynamics, or combustion systems. Analyze simulation results and provide actionable insights to support design decisions. Optimize designs based on CFD findings to improve performance, efficiency, and reliability. Work closely with cross-functional teams including design, testing, and manufacturing. Prepare technical reports and present findings to internal teams or clients. Automate simulation processes and develop best practices to improve workflow efficiency. Ensure model accuracy through mesh independence studies, verification, and validation. Requirements: Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field. Experience: 2+ years of experience in CFD modeling and simulation (entry-level roles may be available with strong academic background). Skills: Proficiency in CFD software (e.g., ANSYS Fluent, STAR-CCM+, OpenFOAM, etc.). Strong understanding of fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, and heat transfer. Familiarity with CAD tools (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA) and meshing tools (e.g., ANSYS Meshing, ICEM CFD). Experience with scripting (e.g., Python, MATLAB) for automation and data processing is a plus. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Good communication and technical report-writing abilities. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in specific application areas such as HVAC, turbomachinery, battery cooling, combustion, or marine/aerospace. Familiarity with experimental validation techniques.
