Job Description

Job Summary:

The Central Store Executive is responsible for overseeing the receipt, storage, and issuance of all materials, equipment, and consumables used across the organization. The role ensures proper inventory control, documentation, and coordination with departments to maintain uninterrupted supply and compliance with organizational standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise day-to-day central store operations including receiving, storage, and issue of materials.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and update stock levels in the system.
  • Ensure proper storage conditions, labeling, and organization of items in designated areas.
  • Prepare and process indents, purchase requests, and material issue slips.
  • Monitor stock levels and prepare replenishment reports to avoid shortages.
  • Conduct regular stock verification and assist in monthly/annual physical audits.
  • Maintain records for incoming and outgoing materials with all supporting documents (GRN, PO, DC, invoices, etc.).
  • Ensure adherence to First-In-First-Out (FIFO) principles for material issuance.
  • Coordinate with the purchase department and user departments for timely procurement and distribution.
  • Identify and report slow-moving, non-moving, or expired items.
  • Support in vendor coordination and quality checking of received materials.
  • Ensure compliance with hospital policies and statutory requirements related to material management.
  • Prepare periodic reports on consumption, stock status, and material movements.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Education: Graduate / Diploma in Material Management / Supply Chain / Commerce.
  • Experience: 3–5 years of experience in central store or inventory management (preferably in hospital or healthcare sector).

Skills:

  • Proficiency in MS Office and inventory management software (ERP/HMS).
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Knowledge of storekeeping standards and audit procedures.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
