Job Description: Center Head / HeadmistressLocation: Polykids, Coimbatore (CheranMa Nagar)Timings: 8:40 am to 3:40 PM (on regular working days)Mode: Full-Time | Immediate Joiner PreferredRole Overview:The Center Head will oversee the daily operations of the preschool, ensuring a safe, joyful, and high-quality learning environment. The ideal candidate will lead with compassion, structure, and accountability while maintaining a strong focus on academics, parent relationships, and school growth.Key Responsibilities:Academic Leadership Supervise and support all the classes in various grades (Pre-KG, LKG, UKG and playgroup) and all academic staff. Ensure timely completion of syllabus, at least 10 days before exams. Frame and manage the class timetable with balanced teacher workload. Conduct daily notebook checks and regular class rounds (minimum 3 rounds/day). Promote innovative teaching methods (smart classes, group work, competitions). Ensure all classrooms, toys, and teaching materials are clean and well-maintained. Monitor and guide teaching standards, suggest improvements where required.Discipline, Hygiene & Cleanliness Ensure hygiene, dress code, and discipline standards across students and staff. Supervise maids, watchmen, drivers, and support staff for cleanliness and child-care duties. Conduct Saturday inspections (classrooms, toilets, kitchen, dustbins, etc.). Ensure daily school readiness: clean premises, display boards, and gate duty staffing.General Administration Conduct regular meetings with staff; ensure ERP, task checklists, and gate duty logs are maintained. Supervise documentation work, circulars, notices, event photos, website uploads, SMS updates, etc. Ensure the accuracy of school bag contents and stock reporting. Maintain proper records of resumes, certificates, recruitment forms, and parent communication.School Growth & Marketing Handle walk-ins and inquiries with confidence; maintain high conversion rates. Motivate staff and parents to participate in the referral system for admissions. Drive Facebook and social media campaigns by posting school events and updates. Provide updates to the Directors regularly and work closely with all branches for consistency.Fee Collection & Coordination Work with Accounts & Admin to minimize defaulters. Coordinate fee reminders and confidential follow-ups. Submit weekly fee defaulter lists and maintain ERP fee data accuracy.Staff Hiring & Evaluation Conduct interviews, demos, and shortlist candidates in consultation with Directors. Attend demo classes and monitor teaching effectiveness. Maintain annual staff evaluation reports and performance documentation.Monitoring & Reporting Submit weekly HM checklists and monthly performance reports to the system coordinator. Ensure all new admissions and parent details are entered in the ERP promptly. Ensure ERP app/circular usage is understood and queries are addressed.Qualifications & Skills: Graduate/Postgraduate with ECCE or related certification. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills. Tech-savvy must handle ERP, email, calendar uploads, photo posting, and basic documentation. Fluent in English and Tamil preferred. Energetic, organized, and passionate about early childhood education.Availability & Communication:Must be available on the school mobile phone during working hours. Responsive to HO communications and coordination requests.Job Type: Full-timePay: 15,000.00 - 21,000.00 per monthBenefits:Health insurance
