Cell Leader

The Cell Leader position at Piramal Pharma Solutions (PPS) in Morpeth, United Kingdom, requires you to be the primary contact for the work team, ensuring safe and compliant production operations. Your role involves providing updates on operational progress, equipment status, and training needs to the Shift Leader or wider Operations Team. As the Cell Leader, you will actively promote and support improvement activities within the production cell, emphasizing the importance of ongoing shop floor-based Kaizen initiatives. While playing a crucial role in the skills development of operational teams, performance and development reviews will be overseen by the Shift Leader. The position involves approximately 80% plant operation and 20% cell leadership responsibilities. Key Responsibilities: - Coordinate and lead a manufacturing cell within the Packaging Department. - Provide support to operator teams in achieving the cell's operational plans and targets. - Ensure operational standards and behaviors align with safe and compliant product manufacture. - Verify that cell operators possess the necessary skills and competence for safe product manufacture. - Communicate updates on cell production performance, equipment status, and personnel issues to the Shift Leader and the packaging team. - Engage cell teams in enhancing quality, safety compliance, operational performance, and efficiency through continuous Kaizen activities. Qualifications: Relevant Experience: - In-depth knowledge of packaging production processes. - Understanding of quality aspects in GMP environments. - Exposure to Operational Excellence/Continuous Improvement methodologies.
