Cathlab Nurse

Walk in at GHC Hospital, Mumbra

Time: 11am to 4pm (Monday to Saturday)

JKey Responsibilities

• Pre-Procedure Responsibilities
• Prepare patients physically and emotionally for cardiac procedures like angiography, angioplasty, pacemaker implantation, etc.
• Verify patient identity, consent, and pre-procedure checklists.
• Set up sterile fields and ensure availability of required instruments and consumables.
• Assist in shifting and positioning patients in the Cath Lab.
• Intra-Procedure Assistance
• Assist cardiologists and technicians during diagnostic and interventional procedures.
• Monitor patient vitals and ECG during the procedure.
• Maintain aseptic technique and support infection control protocols.
• Handle and manage emergency situations (e.g., cardiac arrest, allergic reactions) efficiently.
• Post-Procedure Care
• Provide immediate post-operative care including monitoring for bleeding, vital signs, and discomfort.
• Educate patient and family regarding post-procedure instructions and care.
• Ensure documentation of nursing notes, medication, and recovery details.
• Inventory & Equipment Management
• Maintain and check availability of drugs, crash cart, catheters, stents, sheaths, and other consumables.
• Report malfunctioning equipment and coordinate maintenance.
• Ensure sterile storage of Cath Lab supplies.
• Quality & Compliance
• Adhere to NABH and infection control protocols.
• Maintain accurate nursing and procedural documentation.
• Participate in audits, training, and continuous nursing education.

Qualifications & Skills Required

• Education: GNM / B.Sc. Nursing (Valid Nursing Registration)
• Experience: Minimum 1–2 years of experience in Cath Lab
