Job Description

As a Catering Sales Manager, your role involves identifying potential key accounts, developing strategies to prioritize and penetrate those accounts, and making outside sales calls to prospective catering customers. You will be responsible for clarifying customer requirements, suggesting alternative menus and themes, and preparing proposals for clients outlining details of proposed functions. Negotiating the sale of catering functions and conducting on-site client inspections to illustrate available services will also be part of your responsibilities. Your key responsibilities will include: - Identifying potential key accounts and developing strategies - Making outside sales calls to prospective catering customers - Clarifying customer requirements and suggesting alternative menus, themes, etc. - Preparing proposals for clients and coordinating estimates - Negotiating the sale of catering functions - Conducting on-site client inspections - Monitoring customer satisfaction and following up with key contacts - Ensuring all materials used are in accordance with brand standards - Providing genuine hospitality and teamwork - Resolving guest problems with empathy and finding solutions - Participating in Hotel promotions - Maintaining a high standard of personal grooming Qualifications required for this role: - Minimum one to three years of hotel catering or convention experience - Local market knowledge preferred - High school diploma required, bachelor's degree preferred - Experience managing to brand standards - Collaboration skills with other hotel employees and managers - General knowledge of contract laws - Proficient in Microsoft Office suite - Strong verbal and written communication skills - Strong negotiation and mathematical skills Skills required: - Catering Service - Sales and Catering - Fast-Paced Experience - Microsoft Office You will be expected to perform all duties and responsibilities in a timely and efficient manner in accordance with established company policies and procedures to achieve the overall objectives of this position. Additionally, maintaining a favorable working relationship with all other hotel employees and projecting a favorable image of the Hotel to the public are essential aspects of this role.,
