Cashier (Jewellery Industry)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and trustworthy Cashier to manage financial transactions at our jewellery store. The ideal candidate will be responsible for handling sales billing, processing payments, maintaining accurate cash and card records, and supporting daily store operations while ensuring excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process sales transactions accurately using POS (Point-of-Sale) systems.
• Handle cash, credit/debit card, and UPI payments securely.
• Issue invoices, receipts, and refunds where applicable.
• Verify pricing and discounts as per promotional offers or store policies.
• Maintain daily cash register and reconcile cash at the end of shifts.
• Ensure proper packaging and delivery of purchased jewellery to customers.
• Assist with stock management and basic administrative tasks.
• Maintain a clean and organized checkout area.
• Coordinate with the sales and accounts departments for smooth billing operations.
• Report any discrepancies, suspicious activity, or technical issues to the store manager.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional accounting or retail training is a plus.
• Proven experience as a cashier, preferably in the jewellery, luxury retail, or high-value goods industry.
• Basic math and computer skills.
• Familiarity with billing software and POS systems.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Trustworthy, punctual, and well-groomed.
• Ability to handle high-pressure situations calmly and professionally.

Preferred Skills:

• Knowledge of jewellery types, materials (gold, silver, diamonds), and industry terms.
• Multilingual abilities (e.g., English, Hindi, regional languages).
• Experience in handling high-value transactions with discretion.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
