A cashier's key responsibility is to accurately process customer transactions, handling payments via cash, credit, or other methods, and providing excellent customer service This includes scanning items, managing the cash register , opening and closing. and its contents, issuing receipts, handling returns, answering customer inquiries, and maintaining a clean checkout area to ensure customer satisfaction .
