Cash Application Associate

Role Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Cash Applications Associate to support our daily cash application functions on a part-time, trial basis. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in processing and reconciling payments, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently within a structured environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Process incoming payments including checks, credit cards, wires, and ACH transactions.
• Accurately apply payments to customer accounts and ensure timely reconciliation.
• Support forecasting cycles, variance analysis & cost control
• Automate workflows using advanced Excel (Macros, VLOOKUP, formulas)
• Identify and resolve unapplied cash, short payments, and discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate and organized payment records.
• Draft clear, professional communications to clients regarding payment issues.
• Collaborate with internal accounting and finance teams to ensure accurate reporting.
• Support process improvements and contribute to team efficiency.
• Respond to partner queries on cash receipts and financial updates
• Work US hours & coordinate with global senior stakeholders

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Proven experience in cash applications or accounts receivable.
• Strong account reconciliation and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent client service orientation and communication abilities.
• Strong Excel skills Macros, advanced formulas, automation
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accurate record-keeping.
• Ability to manage time effectively and adapt to varying daily workloads.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Collaborative and team-oriented mindset.
