Role & responsibilities A Data Center Shift Manager - Operations plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth functioning of data center operations during their assigned shift. This role is vital for maintaining the reliability and efficiency of data center operations. Key Responsibilities 1. Operational Management: Ensure 100% uptime of the data center by managing critical infrastructure like GIS switchgear, power transformers, generators, HVAC systems, UPS, and fire detection systems. Monitor and operate equipment through SCADA systems. Conduct predictive maintenance and reliability studies to prevent single points of failure (SPOF). 2. Team Leadership: Supervise and guide the operations team during shifts. Provide training and support to team members to ensure adherence to company policies and procedures. Coordinate with cross-functional teams, vendors, and clients for seamless operations. 3. Compliance and Safety: Implement and enforce policies for occupational health, safety, and environmental management. o Ensure compliance with ISO standards and other regulatory requirements. Manage hazardous waste disposal and coordinate with government authorities for approvals. 4. Capacity Planning and Risk Management: Monitor data center capacity and plan for future requirements. Mitigate risks through corrective and preventive maintenance of critical infrastructure. 5. Customer and Vendor Coordination: Act as the primary point of contact for internal and external audits. Manage vendor relationships for annual maintenance contracts (AMC) and ensure SLA compliance. 6. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain controlled documentation for internal and external use. Generate reports on equipment performance, maintenance schedules, and compliance metrics. Preferred candidate profile Experience: 8- 10 years in data centre operations or a similar role. • Technical Expertise: Hands-on experience with Electrical, Mechanical, BMS operations of Data Center • Soft Skills: Strong communication, decision-making, and conflict management abilities. • Certifications: ISO compliance knowledge and relevant technical certifications are a plus.

Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to all safety protocols, environmental regulations, and mechanical system best practices, conducting regular safety audits to maintain compliance. Audits and Assessments: Conduct periodic audits, performance assessments, and risk evaluations to identify areas for operational improvement, implementing corrective and preventive measures as necessary. Technology & Innovation: Stay updated on the latest industry trends, technologies, and regulatory developments, driving continuous improvement, innovation, and optimization in mechanical operations.
