Job Description

Job Summary: As a Captain in our Tap Room, you will play an integral role in ensuring smooth, efficient service while maintaining the highest standards of hospitality. You’ll oversee the flow of the room, assist with training and mentoring staff, and act as a liaison between the front-of-house team and management. You’ll lead by example, making sure every guest feels valued and every shift runs smoothly. Key Responsibilities: Guest Experience: Lead by example in delivering exceptional guest service by creating a friendly, engaging, and welcoming environment for all customers. Staff Supervision: Guide and support front-of-house staff during shifts, ensuring proper service standards and addressing any issues promptly. Operational Support: Ensure that the Tap Room is well-maintained, clean, and organized at all times. Help with opening and closing duties as needed. Training & Development: Assist in training new staff and helping them develop their skills in customer service, beer knowledge, and Tap Room operations. Order Management: Oversee the seating and ordering process, ensuring orders are communicated clearly and efficiently to kitchen and bar staff. Beer & Food Knowledge: Be well-versed in our beer offerings, including styles, brewing techniques, and food pairings. Educate staff and guests on our products. Problem-Solving: Address customer concerns or complaints with professionalism, aiming to resolve issues quickly and maintain a positive atmosphere. Team Collaboration: Work closely with the management team and kitchen staff to ensure a seamless service experience. Event Support: Assist in the setup, execution, and breakdown of events like beer tastings, special promotions, or live music nights. Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's degree in hotel management. Experience: 1-2 years of experience in a hospitality or restaurant setting, preferably with some leadership or supervisory experience. Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Beer Enthusiast: A passion for craft beer, with a willingness to learn about different styles, brewing processes, and pairings. Previous experience with beer service is a plus. Leadership: Ability to inspire and motivate a team, setting a positive example of work ethic and customer service. Customer-Centric: A natural ability to engage with guests, ensuring their needs are met and they leave with a smile.
