Role Description

Canvas Developer

• Theming

  : Implement custom theming for Canvas (hosted by Instructure, no core modifications).

• LTI Development

  : Build and maintain internally developed LTI tools.

• Integrations

  : Manage integration workflows between Canvas and internal systems using Canvas APIs.

• Support

  : Provide service desk support and on-call assistance for Canvas-related internal systems.

• Primary Language

  : Python (main development language)

• Legacy Support

  : Ruby (used for maintaining existing systems – no new development)

• Strong understanding of

  :
• Canvas API
• LTI 1.1/1.3 standards
• RESTful integrations
• Experience working with Canvas or similar LMS platforms is a big plus.

• Proficient in Python
• Comfortable with API-based integrations
• Experience in LTI development and standards
• Capable of maintaining legacy Ruby-based systems
