Job Title: Production Supervisor Department: Production Location: Yeshwanthpur, bengaluru Reports To: Production Head Job Type: Full-Time Experience: 3–5 years in manufacturing operations, preferably in engineering/industrial components Job Purpose: To supervise and coordinate daily activities in assigned production areas—Machine Shop, Assembly, Testing, or Pipe Section. Ensure execution of daily production plans, monitor productivity, maintain quality standards, and report performance to the Production Head. Key Responsibilities: Daily Production Execution Implement daily production plans issued by the Production Head. Allocate tasks to operators and ensure timely output. Ensure adherence to shift schedules and resource availability. Monitoring & Reporting Track daily output and update Plan vs Actual . Record production data and report issues to the Production Head. Monitor key metrics like downtime, OEE, and rejection rates . Team Supervision Supervise operators and technicians in the assigned section. Conduct shift-wise briefing and issue work instructions. Ensure discipline, attendance, and safety compliance. Quality & Process Control Ensure products are manufactured as per drawings/specifications. Report quality issues to QA and assist in root cause analysis. Support process audits and implement corrective actions. Contingency Handling Address on-shift issues like machine breakdowns or material shortages. Coordinate with Maintenance or Stores for quick resolution. Safety & 5S Enforce workplace safety and housekeeping (5S standards). Ensure operators follow proper PPE and safety practices. Coordination & Communication Coordinate with Stores, Maintenance, and QA for smooth operations. Communicate material or manpower shortages to the Production Head. Ensure timely execution of production plans, monitor performance metrics (Plan vs Actual, OEE), implement contingency strategies, and lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and quality. Key Responsibilities: Production Planning & Execution Release daily and weekly production plans in coordination with Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP). Allocate and prioritize workload across departments (Machine Shop, Assembly, Testing, Pipe Section). Monitor production schedules to meet dispatch timelines and customer delivery commitments. Monitoring & Reporting Track Plan vs Actual production and identify deviations. Submit daily and weekly production reports to senior management. Monitor and improve OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) for each section. Team Management Lead and supervise section heads and production operators. Conduct daily morning meetings to review status and align goals. Ensure skill development and cross-training of team members. Contingency Planning Prepare and execute contingency plans for manpower shortages, machine breakdowns, or material delays. Minimize downtime and implement quick turnaround solutions.
