CAM Programmer

As a CAM Programmer using SolidCAM software, your role will involve the following key responsibilities: - Create, edit, and optimize CNC programs from 2D and 3D CAD data. - Define machining strategies, select appropriate cutting tools, and set parameters such as speed, feed rates, and depth of cut. - Use software for simulation to identify and address potential collisions, errors, or inefficiencies before physical production. - Provide support for machine setup and troubleshoot programming or machining issues that may arise on the shop floor. - Collaborate closely with machinists, engineers, and other production teams to ensure smooth workflows and meet production deadlines. - Prepare and maintain detailed process sheets, setup sheets, and tool lists for machinists. - Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet design specifications, tolerances, and quality standards. Qualifications required for this role include: - Proficiency in using SolidCAM software. - Experience in creating and optimizing CNC programs. - Knowledge of machining strategies, cutting tools, and parameters. - Strong troubleshooting skills for programming and machining issues. - Excellent collaboration and communication skills for working with different teams. - Attention to detail for preparing documentation and conducting quality control inspections.
