Valid From: July 2025 Position Summary: We are seeking a results-driven Purchase Officer to manage the procurement of raw materials, packaging items, engineering spares, and consumables for pharmaceutical manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will have strong vendor management, negotiation, and documentation skills, and ensure all procurement activities comply with GMP and regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities: Source and procure raw materials, packaging items, engineering spares, and consumables Identify and develop a reliable vendor base for critical and alternate supplies Negotiate pricing, credit terms, and delivery schedules with vendors Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely replenishment Coordinate with Quality & Stores for material inward, testing, and GRN Prepare and maintain accurate purchase orders and records Ensure procurement complies with GMP and regulatory norms Evaluate supplier performance and initiate corrective actions Coordinate with Finance for invoice reconciliation and payments Assist in audits, documentation, and reporting Handle import and customs-related procurement activities Maintain confidentiality and integrity in procurement data and vendor interactions Internal & External Communication Partners: Internal: Stores, Production, QA/QC, Accounts, Maintenance External: Vendors, Suppliers, Transporters, Regulatory Consultants Education & Experience: Diploma / Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Production preferred) 2–5 years of experience in pharma or chemical industry procurement Familiarity with GMP, FDA, and regulatory procurement guidelines Technical Skills & Competencies: Strong negotiation and vendor management skills ERP systems proficiency (SAP, Tally) and MS Excel Documentation accuracy and compliance awareness Customs and import procurement knowledge Behavioral Competencies: Initiative, assertiveness, and ability to learn Problem solving & creativity Customer focus and accountability Teamwork, communication, and planning skills Coaching and mentoring orientation Effective decision making Job Type: Full-time Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month Benefits: Cell phone reimbursement Health insurance Paid sick time Provident Fund Schedule: Morning shift Supplemental Pay: Performance bonus Yearly bonus Work Location: In person
