Job Description We are looking for a highly skilled Calypso Developer to join our dynamic team at Quinnox . The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in the Calypso platform and a solid understanding of financial products and markets. This role requires hands-on experience in developing and enhancing trading and risk management solutions, as well as integrating with third-party applications within the financial services domain. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and enhance applications on the Calypso platform , focusing on trading, risk management, and derivatives modules. Develop custom solutions using Calypso's development framework , including CALYPSO language, business rules, and scripting tools. Collaborate with business analysts and end users to gather requirements and translate them into technical designs and deliverables. Implement and maintain integrations with third-party systems and external market data feeds. Provide support for existing Calypso implementations, including issue resolution, system tuning, and enhancement. Participate in code reviews, performance tuning, and architectural improvements. Maintain proper documentation of design, implementation, and support procedures. Required Skills & Experience Bachelors or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, or a related field. Strong hands-on experience in Calypso platform development , especially in areas such as trading, risk management, or derivatives processing. Proficiency in programming languages such as Java (preferred), C++ , Python , or similar technologies commonly used in financial services. Deep knowledge of Calypso’s development framework , including: CALYPSO custom coding (class structures, services, events) Business rules and workflows Scripting and interface configuration Solid understanding of financial products like: Derivatives (IR, Credit, Equity, Commodity) Fixed income instruments Equities Familiarity with key financial and risk concepts , such as: Market Risk Profit & Loss (P&L) Value at Risk (VaR) Pricing models Strong experience with SQL and relational databases (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server). Experience in integrating Calypso with external systems, such as market data providers, trade repositories, and clearinghouses. Understanding of global financial regulations (e.g., MiFID II, Dodd-Frank, Basel III). Exposure to trading lifecycle , post-trade processing , and settlement processes . Preferred Qualifications Calypso certification (if available) is a plus. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
