Currently, we are looking for an engineer to be based in Hosakote, Bangalore, supporting the KD plants. Key Responsibilities: - Provide operational support in the ESW (Embedded Software) and calibration field. - Coordinate and drive development work within the designated area of responsibility. Main Activities: - Offer operational ESW and calibration support. - Troubleshoot software, electronic, and electrical product-related issues encountered in the assembly process. - Ensure product and process introductions are secure. - Act as the KD plants representative in contacts within GTO/GTT. - Manage ESW tooling and equipment, production process, methods, and standards. - Develop KD-plants in line with established strategies and desired positions. Critical Experience and Competence for this Position: - Solid understanding of truck assembly processes. - Knowledge of Volvo Performance System (VPS). - Familiarity with vehicle electronics and embedded systems. - Competence in TEA2 and TEA2+ bridge plan architecture. - Understanding of Electronic Control Units (ECU) and various peripheral input/output devices. - Proficiency in OBD II specification, DTCs, and automotive communication protocols and standards (SAE, CAN). - Familiarity with truck electrics, wiring harnesses, MD, and HD product classes. - Knowledge of production tools and systems for embedded systems diagnostics and testing, ECU programming tools, electrical troubleshooting tools. - Understanding of calibration processes and equipment, end-of-line, and wheel alignment processes. - Knowledge of vehicle development processes and parts documentation (KOLA). - Strong networking and communication skills. - Customer-oriented with the ability to organize and lead tasks. - Open-minded with a multicultural and flexible approach. - Self-driven and autonomous with a willingness to learn.
