Cake decorators use baking and food decorating skills to create cakes for a bakery’s customers. They need to be able to work with various types of icing, toppings, and other ingredients in order to accomplish this. Cake decorators commonly create cakes that are designed based on a customer’s request. To do this, the decorator needs to be able to take the customer’s vision and turn it into a real cake. Our bakery is searching for a skilled cake decorator to add to its growing staff. In this role, you will take our customers’ cake orders and bring them to life. To accomplish this, you will need to be able to work with a wide variety of ingredients and be capable of fashioning them into designs that meet the customer’s expectations.

You’ll also spend some of your time on the administrative tasks that allow our bakery to function. These can include keeping display cases clean, sanitizing equipment, and helping us manage our inventory.

To do well in this role, you will need to have good manual dexterity and familiarity with the latest trends and methods in cake decorating. You should also be able to provide great customer service, as you’ll be working directly with our customers often.

Cake Decorator Responsibilities:

• Speak with customers to determine their goals for their cake
• Use a variety of methods and tools to bring the customer’s vision to life in the form of a completed cake
• Ensure that our display cases are clean, organized, and appealing
• Operate our cash register
• Answer our customers’ questions regarding their cakes
• Do your part to help us maintain inventory and keep our store clean and sanitary

Cake Decorator Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Training in pastry arts, culinary design, or a related field is preferred
• Excellent manual dexterity
• Professional appearance and demeanor
• Willingness to work a variety of shifts
• Artistic and creative nature
• Excellent customer service skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
