As an Engine Development Project Manager, you will be responsible for planning and managing engine development projects. This includes tasks such as scheduling, budgeting, and resource estimation. Your role will involve monitoring progress, reporting status, and coordinating with testing, design, calibration, production, and quality teams to ensure the successful completion of projects. You will also be required to implement process improvements and manage documentation related to engine development projects. It will be crucial for you to address any development issues that may arise, track failures, and implement necessary process improvements to enhance project efficiency and effectiveness. In your role, you will need to prepare resources required for new model development, including manhours and direct expenses. You will collaborate with the SMC counterpart to finalize entrustment details. Additionally, you will be responsible for preparing and integrating test plans that align with project goals, tracking project progress, identifying deviations, and implementing corrective actions as needed. Furthermore, you will compile and analyze failures, sharing insights and lessons learned with the team. Effective communication with stakeholders and providing regular status updates will be essential aspects of your responsibilities. You will also be expected to have a basic understanding of engine parts, sub-systems, and systems, as well as knowledge of IC engines and emerging trends in powertrain technologies. Familiarity with emission and CO2 regulatory norms such as BS6, CAFE norms, and test cycles like MIDC and WLTP will be advantageous. An understanding of model development processes and proficiency in advanced MS Office applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Power BI will also be required to excel in this role.,
