CAE Analyst I

As a technical engineer specializing in Powertrain CFD projects, your responsibilities include: - Delivering Engine Cooling system projects with a focus on hydraulics and deaeration simulation either individually or with team support - Introducing new technology and concepts to enhance team competency for successful Program Gateways - Providing technical guidance on Powertrain Integration CFD projects to new engineers - Taking initiative and leading challenging projects while collaborating with the team to ensure task completion - Ensuring lessons learned are documented and applied to future programs, actively participating in Powertrain Tech club meetings, and aiding in developing action plans and solutions for critical PTI CFD system issues - Identifying root causes for convergence issues during analysis and guiding the team through complex analysis tasks - Communicating project status and analysis reviews with customers to address TGW/issues within expectations Key Qualifications: - Good understanding of CFD 3D Flow, Thermal, Porous Modelling, and multi-phase modeling - Knowledge of Engine cooling system - Proficiency in CAD cleanup, Surface Meshing using ANSA, and Star-CCM+ - Conducting CFD simulations with Star-CCM+ and Simerics following best practices for computational efficiency - Exposure to Simerics tool and 1D Flow Master tools is desirable - Familiarity with programming languages like Python or Java would be advantageous This job offers the opportunity to work on challenging projects, mentor new engineers, and contribute to the advancement of Powertrain CFD technology.,
