CAD Technician - Highways

As a CAD Technician at the UK GCC Communities team in Bengaluru, you will play a crucial role in developing and delivering projects from feasibility to construction stages. Your responsibilities will include: - Independently developing engineering drawings for a range of infrastructure schemes, in compliance with relevant standards. - Playing a proactive role in the design process and contributing to multiple projects simultaneously. - Utilizing AutoCAD, MicroStation, and other engineering software for drawing production and development. - Adhering to all Health and Safety policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with relevant manuals and protocols. Key Competencies / Skills: Mandatory Skills: - Proficiency in AutoCAD or MicroStation to develop layouts, labelling, dimensioning, design details, and other design concepts. - Ability to interpret 2D and 3D CAD drawings to assist in engineering problem investigations. - Experience in working up drawings from basic sketches to full working drawings. - Effective communication and coordination with design teams for drawing production. - Familiarity with technical design guidance and standards such as TSRGD, HCD, and IAN 184. Desired Skills: - Knowledge of Civil 3D. - UK Highways project experience and familiarity with UK design standards. Qualifications: - ITI or Diploma in Civil Engineering or equivalent with 3-7 years of post-graduate experience. - Autodesk AutoCAD or Bentley MicroStation user certification.
