CAD Operator

Key Responsibilities:

1. Dieline Creation & Editing

• Develop accurate dielines for packaging types such as mono cartons, rigid boxes, corrugated boxes, etc.
• Modify dimensions and layouts as per approved artwork and production feasibility.

2. Sample Development

• Operate CAD/CAM cutting machines to produce prototype samples.
• Ensure dimensional accuracy and provide samples for design and client approvals.

3. Drawing & File Management

• Maintain and organize CAD drawings, die files, and cutting layouts systematically.
• Export and convert files in multiple formats such as DXF, CFF2, PDF, and AI as per process requirements.

4. Coordination & Communication

• Collaborate with Design, PPC, and Production teams to ensure smooth workflow.
• Share technical drawings with die makers and coordinate for approvals or modifications.

5. Machine Operation & Maintenance (if applicable)

• Operate CAD cutting machines and perform routine operational checks.
• Ensure cutting accuracy, machine cleanliness, and safety compliance.

6. Quality & Accuracy Assurance

• Review and verify all CAD designs for 100% dimensional and structural accuracy.
• Consider key parameters such as paperboard thickness, crease/fold area, glue flap, and locking mechanism.

Skills & Competencies:

• Proficient in ArtiosCAD / AutoCAD / CorelDRAW / Adobe Illustrator
• Strong understanding of packaging structure and development
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
• Attention to detail and precision in measurements
• Basic operational knowledge of CAD cutting plotter (preferred)
• Team coordination and communication skills

Qualification:

• Diploma / ITI / Graduate in Mechanical, Printing, Packaging, or Design field
• Certification in CAD software preferred

Experience:

• 1–3 years of experience in the packaging or printing industry (preferred)
• Freshers with good CAD design knowledge may also apply

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
