CAD Design Engineer

As a CAD Design Engineer at Genesis Tech Engineers Pvt. Ltd., located in Pune, Maharashtra, India, you will play a crucial role in creating detailed technical drawings and plans for mechanical devices and equipment using CAD software. Working closely with engineering and production teams, you will ensure that designs are functional and meet the necessary specifications. In this role, your responsibilities will include developing detailed 2D and 3D CAD models and drawings based on project requirements, collaborating with engineers and product designers to create and modify designs, ensuring compliance with industry standards and company guidelines, conducting simulations and stress analysis on designs, reviewing design plans for accuracy, preparing documentation for manufacturing teams, participating in design reviews, and maintaining CAD libraries and databases. Additionally, you will assist in the improvement of CAD processes and best practices, provide support and training to junior CAD designers and engineers, and contribute to the overall success of the team. To qualify for this position, you should have a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field. Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA, or similar is required. You should possess a strong understanding of mechanical and civil design principles, experience with 3D modeling, simulations, and design analysis, excellent attention to detail, problem-solving skills, communication abilities, and teamwork skills. The ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and adhere to industry standards and best practices is essential. Preferred qualifications include a Master's degree in a related field, certification in CAD software (e.g., Autocad Certified Professional), experience in the aerospace, automotive, or consumer electronics industry, and familiarity with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems.
