Business R&D Senior Engineer

Role Overview: You will be responsible for managing SAP variant configuration for GIS portfolio products. Your role will involve developing innovative product solutions, collaborating with global partners, analyzing and solving interdisciplinary problems, and ensuring compliance with applicable regulations. Additionally, you will be expected to participate constructively in team discussions and support colleagues in applying processes and tools to achieve high-quality results. Key Responsibilities: - Manage SAP variant configuration for GIS portfolio products. - Develop innovative product solutions while adhering to standards, design rules, guidelines, and processes. - Collaborate with global partners including R&D, Product Management, Supply Chain, Production, and Sales. - Analyze and solve interdisciplinary problems. - Coordinate with various cross-functional stakeholders. - Work on Material Master, Bill of Materials, Engineering Change Master. - Handle Variant Configuration - Classification System (Characteristics, Classes), Configuration Profiles, and Configuration Scenarios. - Manage Object Dependencies (Types and Usage) and Material Variants. - Ensure compliance with external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines. - Embody Hitachi Energy's core values of safety and integrity. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor of Engineering / Bachelor of Technology in Mechanical Engineering with extensive experience. - Comprehensive expertise in SAP (ERP) systems. - Significant professional experience in various SAP fields with practical knowledge and hands-on skills. - Proficiency in both spoken and written English is mandatory. - Experience with high voltage switchgear is desirable but not essential. - Ability to work effectively in a multicultural, multidisciplinary, and globally distributed team. - Creative, independent, and solution-oriented approach.
