Business Process Architect

Project Role Description:

Analyze and design new business processes to create documentation that guides the implementation of new processes and technologies. Partner with the business to define product requirements and use cases to meet process and functional requirements. Participate in user and task analysis to represent business needs.

Summary:

As a Business Process Architect, you will design business processes, including characteristics and key performance indicators (KPIs), to meet process and functional requirements. Your typical day will involve collaborating with the Application Architect to create process blueprints and establish business process requirements that drive application requirements and metrics.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Design business processes, including characteristics and key performance indicators (KPIs), to meet process and functional requirements.
• Work closely with the Application Architect to create the process blueprint and establish business process requirements.
• Assist in quality management reviews to ensure all business and design requirements are met.
• Educate stakeholders to ensure a complete understanding of the designs.

• Solid understanding of business architecture principles and practices.
• Experience in designing and implementing business processes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Post-trade business analysis/functional user acceptance testing experience (9-12 years).
• Thorough knowledge of clearing, settlement, corporate actions, security lending and borrowing, collateral management, and reference data.
• Familiarity with ISO 15022 and ISO 20022 messaging standards.
• Experience in impact analysis, functional design, and quality assurance (creating test scenarios, test cases, preparing test data, and executing user acceptance test cases).
• Knowledge of tools such as JIRA, ALM, or HP Quality Centre is a plus.

Additional Information:

• The ideal candidate should have a strong educational background in business architecture, computer science, or a related field, along with a proven track record of delivering impactful solutions.
• Previous work experience in a clearing house or CSD/ICSD would be advantageous.
• Knowledge of risk management and data warehousing is also a plus.
• Proficiency in the German language would be an added advantage.
