Business Intelligence Engineer(AWS Quicksight)

BI Engineer with strong hands-on experience in Amazon QuickSight

Role and Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain

  interactive dashboards, reports & data visualizations

  using Amazon QuickSight.
• Connect QuickSight to AWS data sources such as

  S3, Athena, Redshift, RDS, Glue

  etc.
• Build and maintain

  SPICE datasets

  , optimize refresh schedules and manage data performance.
• Implement

  row-level security (RLS)

  , access controls and IAM-based permissions in QuickSight.
• Work closely with business stakeholders to gather requirements, define KPIs and deliver analytics solutions.
• Write, optimize, and troubleshoot

  SQL queries

  for data transformation and reporting.
• Collaborate with data engineering teams to improve data quality, data models and ETL workflows.
• Ensure dashboards are visually appealing, accurate, and aligned with business needs.
• Monitor dashboard usage, performance, cost optimization, and maintain documentation.
  

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 7-13years of experience

  in Business Intelligence / Data Analytics.
• Strong hands-on experience with

  Amazon QuickSight

  (dashboard building, data modelling, SPICE datasets).
• Expertise in

  SQL

  and working with large datasets.
• Solid understanding of

  AWS data ecosystem

  S3, Redshift, Athena, Glue, Lambda (good to have).
• Experience in

  data modelling

  , data warehousing concepts (star schema, snowflake schema).
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams and translate business requirements into BI solutions.
• Strong analytical mindset and excellent communication skills.
  

Good to Have (Optional)

• Experience with other BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker).
• Knowledge of Python for data automation.
• Experience with QuickSight

  embedding / API integration

  .
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodology.
  

Education

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, IT, Statistics, or a related field.
