Business Intelligence Architect, BI Architect

As a Business Intelligence Architect at Astellas, you will play a crucial role in designing and implementing robust BI solutions to empower business users with actionable insights. Your responsibilities will include contributing to the organization's data strategy, designing and developing scalable data analytics, collaborating with cross-functional teams, providing technical support, and championing continuous improvement initiatives. You will also be involved in integrating data pipelines, staying up-to-date on the latest trends in data engineering, and adhering to DevOps best practices. Key Responsibilities: - Contribute to the organization's data strategy by identifying opportunities for data-driven insights and improvements. - Design, develop, and implement robust and scalable data analytics using modern technologies. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand user needs and translate them into technical solutions. - Provide technical support to internal users, troubleshooting complex issues, and ensuring system uptime. - Champion continuous improvement initiatives to optimize performance, security, and maintainability of data and platform architecture. - Stay up-to-date on the latest trends and technologies in data engineering and cloud platforms. Qualifications: Required: - Bachelor's Degree in computer science, information technology, or related field (or equivalent experience.) - 5+ years of experience in using Qlik, PowerBI, or equivalent technologies. - Familiarity with Business Intelligence and Data Warehousing concepts. - Proficiency in SQL, business intelligence tools like Qlik and PowerBI, data modeling, and integration. - Experience in data governance, data quality, performance tuning, and creating dashboards. - Ability to work with end users to uncover business requirements and create powerful applications. - Self-starter with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical team members. - Experience in data warehousing, data modeling, and BI system troubleshooting. Preferred: - Experience with other BI tools like Tableau and D3.js. - Strong understanding of data architecture, engineering, and reporting within the Life Sciences/Pharma industry. - Technical proficiency in SQL, R, Python, machine learning techniques, statistical analysis, and data visualization. - Experience working in the Pharma/Life Sciences industry and storytelling with data.
