Job Description

The Business Head is responsible for driving sales growth by strengthening architect relationships, improving retail performance, ensuring optimal product assortment, maintaining high VM standards, supporting marketing execution, developing store staff, and ensuring operational excellence across regions. This role acts as the bridge between architects, retail stores, marketing, category, supply chain, and finance teams.

Key Responsibilities

A. Architect Connect & Business Development

Build, grow, and manage relationships with architects across assigned regions.

Conduct structured visits, presentations, and product demonstrations related to Baywindow and Elevate categories.

Generate continuous inquiries from architect partners and channel influencers.

Track inquiry pipeline, follow up periodically, and drive closure of opportunities.

Organize architect meetups, product knowledge sessions, and brand engagement events.

Share product samples, catalogues, and solutions to increase recall.

B. Retail Performance Management

Own and deliver store-wise, region-wise monthly and quarterly retail targets.

Collaborate with store teams to design action plans for shortfalls.

Continuously monitor customer footfall, enquiry-to-sales conversion ratio, Average Bill Value (ABV), and category performance.

Identify performance gaps and implement improvement strategies.

Conduct regular store reviews and performance huddles.

C. Category Management & Visual Merchandising (VM)

Ensure product range and assortment match customer preferences and feedback.

Work closely with the Category Head for updated product lists, new launches, and store-specific requirements.

Ensure timely sharing of SKU lists required for displays.

Ensure all stores follow approved display guidelines and layout standards.

Conduct regular VM audits and implement corrective actions.

D. Marketing Coordination & Execution

Work to finalize the quarterly and monthly marketing calendar.

Ensure campaigns are rolled out on time across all stores.

Submit monthly footfall-based insights for each store.

Recommend marketing actions based on customer behaviour and local competition.

Support execution of in-store promotions, customer events, and lead-generation activities.

Measure impact and share campaign performance reports.

E. Training & Human Resource Development

Ensure all stores have adequate and qualified staff.

Monitor for regular training programs covering product knowledge, selling skills, customer service, and SOP compliance.

Maintain a skill matrix for store employees and track improvement.

Support store teams through periodic coaching and performance feedback.

Encourage high-performing culture and discipline.

F. Supply Chain & Operations Escalations

Monitor product availability and delivery timelines.

Raise escalations for delayed orders, missing items, or damaged goods.

Work with the supply chain team for quick resolution.

Help streamline store operations by ensuring adherence to processes.

G. Finance & Accounts Coordination

Track overdue payments for all stores.

Ensure all stores follow billing, documentation, and financial SOPs.

Monitor petty cash usage and store-level financial discipline.
