Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Business Development Manager role based in Bengaluru South. The Business Development Manager will identify and pursue new business opportunities in NVOCC, freight forwarding, and project logistics, focusing on lead generation, client acquisition, and revenue growth. Day-to-day responsibilities include prospecting and networking, conducting client meetings and presentations, preparing proposals and quotations, and negotiating commercial terms. The role also involves maintaining strong relationships with existing clients, coordinating with operations and documentation teams to ensure service delivery, and tracking market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs. The Business Development Manager will be expected to meet sales targets, provide regular reporting to leadership, and represent Bilander Logistics at industry events, trade shows, and client visits.

Qualifications

• Strong business development and sales skills, including lead generation, pipeline management, and closing deals.
• Experience in logistics, NVOCC, freight forwarding, or related supply chain domains, with understanding of project logistics and break bulk handling.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities, with strong client relationship management skills.
• Capability to analyze market trends, identify new segments, and develop strategic growth plans.
• Proficiency in basic office and CRM tools for reporting, documentation, and opportunity tracking.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field; an MBA or equivalent qualification is an advantage.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and deliver against revenue and margin targets.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and willingness to travel for client meetings and business development activities.
