We are looking for a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Engineer specializing in Data Acquisition Systems (DAS) to join our team. Your main responsibility will be to identify, develop, and secure new business opportunities in automotive, off-highway, mobile hydraulics, and aerospace markets, focusing on companies in need of advanced data collection, monitoring, and analysis solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in automotive systems, especially in data acquisition technologies, along with proven experience in business development. Your responsibilities will include identifying and prospecting new customers in the automotive industry, specifically OEMs, Tier-1 suppliers, and testing centers. You will generate leads, qualify prospects, and manage the sales pipeline from initial contact to contract negotiation and close. As a technical consultant, you will present the features, benefits, and technical specifications of DAS products to potential clients. Collaboration with engineering and product teams to understand customer requirements and customize solutions will be essential. Additionally, you will research and analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer demands to uncover emerging opportunities. Developing and implementing targeted business development strategies to expand our market share in the region will be a key part of your role. Keeping up-to-date with industry developments in automotive data acquisition technologies to ensure that our solutions align with current market needs is crucial. Building and nurturing long-term relationships with key decision-makers, influencers, and stakeholders in the automotive sector is vital to success. Your skills should include a Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Automotive Engineering, or related field) and a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in sales, business development, or engineering roles within the automotive industry, with a focus on Data Acquisition Systems or related technologies. A proven track record of successful sales and business development within the automotive sector is required. You should have a strong understanding of Data Acquisition Systems (DAS), automotive testing, telemetry, sensors, and related hardware/software solutions. Familiarity with automotive engineering processes, product development cycles, and testing requirements is essential. Experience with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and sales analytics tools is preferred. Knowledge of automotive industry standards and regulatory requirements related to data acquisition and testing is also necessary.,
