As a member of the Mines, Pellet, and Steel team located at the Corporate Office in Hospet, your primary responsibilities will include material planning, sourcing, and vendor development. You will be tasked with evaluating vendors, coordinating technical evaluations with the quality team, and selecting vendors in a cost-effective manner while finalizing contracts. Building long-term business associations and verifying invoices related to freight and materials will be essential aspects of your role. Effectively resolving issues and handling complaints from both internal customers and suppliers will be crucial to maintaining smooth operations. You will be responsible for store and inventory management at Plant Operations, collaborating with corporate procurement when necessary. Conducting reorder level reviews, implementing inventory reduction initiatives, and establishing procedures for accurate receipt, storage, and issuance of items will be part of your daily tasks. Driving cost reduction and value engineering improvements, monitoring commercial terms for CAPEX, negotiating prices, and analyzing price variations will be key components of your responsibilities. You will also be involved in project budgeting, estimating, tender document preparation, and procurement for both CAPEX and Opex in alignment with the plan. Handling independent procurement of at least 100 crores, managing import and custom clearance processes, and demonstrating strong negotiation skills with suppliers will be critical to your success in this role. Prior experience working with SAP (MM Module) will be beneficial for effectively carrying out your duties.,
