Job Description

Role Business Analyst/Senior Business Analyst

  • Lead the discovery process with stakeholders to understand business goals, pain points, and success metrics.
  • Facilitate workshops, interviews, and whiteboarding sessions to capture and validate functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Elicit, analyze, and translate complex business needs into clear and actionable requirements.

- Solution design & validation

  • Collaborate with solution architects, developers, and designers to ensure proposed solutions align with business objectives and system capabilities.
  • Participate in defining business rules, workflows, and integration requirements for new features or enhancements.
  • Coordinate with sales team and assist in preparing demo scenarios that align specific use-cases or a business process.

- Loyalty program configuration & management

  • Work with stakeholders to define campaigns, rules, partner-based rewards.
  • Use internal tools or APIs to simulate member behavior and confirm point issuance, redemptions, tier movements, etc.
  • Develop scenarios and edge cases to validate that configurations are executing as expected.
  • Conduct end-to-end testing for the configuration changes.
  • Ensuring loyalty program works correctly with upstream (CRM, POS, mobile apps, reporting) systems.
  • Ability to debug an issue and identify the real reason behind a business or system problem.

- Documentation

  • Prepare comprehensive documentation that covers everything the user needs to know to use the product. Typically includes user manuals, how-to guides, etc.
  • Maintain configuration playbooks that outline how each loyalty module is set up in the system.
  • Design and document visual flows such as process mapping, swim lanes, flowcharts, etc.
  • Create and maintain documentation for APIs, event triggers, etc. in coordination with integration leads and architects.
  • Create easy-to-understand training materials for client-side business and marketing teams.
  • Ability to create user stories detailing business scenarios and acceptance criteria in a structured format.

- Client Management

  • Ability to take decisions upon considering client priorities, constraints, and internal dynamics.
  • Lead structured discussions to understand the business goals, pain-points and system expectations.
  • Map business needs to system features and identify turnarounds/customizations and set realistic expectations about timelines.
  • Act as a liaison between client and internal teams.

Required

  • 4+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in an Agile environment.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills capable of translating technical details into business-friendly language.
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs and JSON/XML payloads.
  • Ability to use SQL for basic data validations.
  • Exposure to agile methodologies.
  • Comfortable working with Jira, Confluence, or similar tools.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with developers, testers, product owners, and customer success.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
