Building Performance Engineer

As a successful candidate, you should have a strong background and proficiency in Building Performance Engineering along with good technical competencies. Your ability to effectively communicate technical issues to a diverse audience, both technical and non-technical professionals, will be crucial for excelling in this role. Key Responsibilities: - Creating IES Building Geometry by utilizing architectural drawings and 3D models. - Reviewing technical information from building regulations and other building standard guidance documents. - Conducting Whole Building Performance Modelling, including Part L Modelling, Daylight Analysis, Overheating Analysis (Part O, TM52, TM59, etc.), BRUKL/BRIRL, BER, EPC, CIBSE TM54, as well as heating and cooling load calculations. - Writing technical reports. Minimum Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Engineering. - 4-5 years of relevant experience. - In-depth knowledge of Building Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy. - Proficiency in IES VE energy modelling software is a mandatory requirement. - Ability to model Building Geometry, fabric U-values/thermal mass, detailed HVAC systems, Renewable Energy Technologies, and District Heating/Cooling.
