Job Summary The Junior Store Manager supports the overall operations of the store/warehouse, ensuring efficient inventory management, smooth workflow, and excellent customer or internal team service. This role acts as a bridge between the store staff and senior management, maintaining stock accuracy, safety standards, and operational excellence. Key Responsibilities Inventory Management: Monitor and maintain optimal stock levels to prevent overstocking or stockouts. Oversee goods receipt, storage, and dispatch while maintaining accurate records. Conduct regular stock audits and assist in reconciling discrepancies. Team Coordination: Supervise and guide store staff in daily operations and best practices. Support training of new employees on processes, equipment, and safety protocols. Operations & Compliance: Ensure proper handling, labeling, and storage of materials to meet safety and quality standards. Implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) and comply with company policies. Coordinate with procurement, sales, and production teams for smooth operations. Reporting & Documentation: Prepare daily/weekly reports on stock status, issues, and store performance. Update inventory software or ERP systems with real-time data. Customer/Team Service: Assist with fulfilling customer or internal requests on time and with accuracy. Address operational challenges promptly and propose improvements. Qualifications & Skills Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred but not mandatory). 1–2 years of experience in store or inventory management (freshers with relevant internships can apply). Basic knowledge of inventory management software or ERP systems. Strong organizational, problem-solving, and multitasking abilities. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle physical tasks if required. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Stock accuracy percentage. Order fulfillment turnaround time.
