Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Bridge Designer to join our infrastructure team for a key elevated metro rail or major bridge project in Kochi, Kerala. The candidate should have a solid background in bridge design/drafting with hands-on experience in preparing detailed drawings for elevated metro structures or major bridge works.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and develop general arrangement drawings (GADs), reinforcement drawings, and construction drawings for bridges and elevated metro structures.
• Convert conceptual layouts and design inputs into detailed 2D civil/structural drawings using AutoCAD and relevant software tools.
• Coordinate with structural engineers to produce technically accurate and constructible drawings.
• Review and update design documentation to reflect design changes, revisions, and redlines.
• Ensure compliance with applicable codes (IRC, IS), project specifications, and drafting standards.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (civil, structural, MEP) for effective design integration.
• Maintain drawing registers and version control documentation as per project requirements.

Requirements:

• Educational Qualification: ITI or Diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognized institution.
• Experience:
• Minimum 5 years of experience in bridge/civil drafting or design.
• At least 2 years of experience specifically in elevated metro rail or major bridge infrastructure projects.
• Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D essential; 3D, Revit, or MicroStation is an advantage).
• Good understanding of bridge elements such as piers, girders, pier caps, bearings, deck slabs, and foundations.
• Ability to read and interpret structural and construction drawings.
• Familiarity with MS Office and document control systems.

Preferred Candidate Profile:

• Prior experience in metro rail or national highway bridge projects.
• Strong attention to detail with good documentation and coordination skills.
• Familiarity with Kerala’s site practices and design requirements will be considered a plus.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision under tight deadlines.
