Position Overview Senior Sales Professional with expertise in improving revenue, managing a sales team & negotiating with large corporates to generate business for International Freight Forwarding Business Project Cargo . Understand the requirement of clients and co-ordinate with different departments for customized business proposal and develop a strong sales pipeline to support the sales development plan and surpassing set targets. Visionary leader with the ability to use their knowledge, skills and influence to guide and inspire others to reach their potential and achieve individual, team and company goals and objectives. Responsibilities Generate new business, retain existing business, garner incremental business from existing customers as well for Project Cargo. Manage an assigned geographical sales area to maximize sales revenues & coverage to meet corporate objectives. Respond to inquiries by clients. Prepare quotations through Sales support and send to clients. Follow up on quotations and close business, if lost revert with reasons On receiving confirmed business hand over to customer service Coordinate through Customer service with operations for container placing / container releases etc .Monitor timely Delivery of invoices to clients if any disputes, update credit control. Collect dues and outstanding amounts from clients in allotted credit limit. Meet GP & Volume targets. Timely submission of reports set by the management as per the deadline Provide MIS information on Market & Competitor activity to Management Ensure Credit customers are wetted out through the with Credit approval process Develop a strong sales pipeline to support the sales development plan and surpassing set targets. Possess good networking skills to identify business opportunities, participating in industry events/conclave/exhibitions etc. Working closely with other countries, regional and global team for growing specific accounts. RFQ/RFP/RFO/Tender management. Develop and execute business plan; Gross Profit (GP), Volume, Revenue targets. Customers and effective competitor mapping to increase market share and quality standards. Role & responsibilities Experience in Freight Forwarding Sales in Export & Import. Experience in Freight Forwarding Acquisition of new customers by way of market research. Achieving annual budget plan in terms of revenue & customer base/product base. Complete an in-depth needs analysis for the client and identify areas of the business where value added services can be provided to optimize the profitability. Close the sale and assist in the implementation process linking in with operations, customer service, and senior management teams. Strong negotiation strategies towards rates and service levels with customers that would generate a healthy business and build long lasting relationship. Monthly & quarterly forecasting of business & revenue of all products. Follow up on invoicing and billing with the customers and ensure the credit limits are adhered to.
