Booking staff

The Booking Staff is responsible for handling customer bookings, generating shipment orders, coordinating pickup and delivery details, and ensuring accurate data entry into the system. This role plays a key part in smooth daily operations and customer satisfaction in a logistics firm.

Key Responsibilities:

• Receive and process booking requests from customers through phone, email, or in-person.
• Generate consignment notes (CN) and booking slips in the logistics system.
• Verify shipment details including weight, volume, destination, and charges.
• Coordinate with operations and dispatch teams for timely pickups and deliveries.
• Ensure proper documentation of all booking transactions.
• Communicate effectively with customers regarding shipment schedules and any delays or issues.
• Maintain records of daily bookings and submit reports to the supervisor.
• Handle COD and POD documentation when applicable.
• Support in resolving booking or shipment discrepancies.

Key Skills Required:

• Basic knowledge of logistics and transport operations.
• Strong communication skills – verbal and written.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
• Customer service orientation.
• Proficiency in MS Office and logistics software (if applicable).
• Ability to multitask and work under pressure.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Graduate in any stream.
• 0–2 years of experience in logistics/transportation industry (freshers can also apply).
• Language proficiency in English and local/regional language.
