Boiler Operations & Maintenance Technician

You are a highly skilled and experienced Boiler Operations & Maintenance Technician who will be joining the team at BWE. You will be responsible for the following key responsibilities: - Start, operate, and shut down boilers following safety procedures. - Monitor key parameters such as pressure, temperature, water levels, combustion, and flow rates. - Adjust controls to optimize thermal efficiency and energy consumption. - Record operational data in logs, either digital or manual. - Operate pumps, burners, valves, feedwater systems, and fuel systems. - Perform surface and bottom blowdowns as required. - Execute basic preventive maintenance tasks including cleaning, lubrication, filter replacement, and minor adjustments. - Assist specialized technicians with corrective maintenance. - Report abnormalities and participate in internal/external inspections. - Ensure the correct functioning of all safety devices. - Coordinate with production, mechanical, electrical, and utility teams. - Support the operation of auxiliary systems such as compressors, vacuum pumps, water treatment, softeners, and RO systems. Qualifications required for this role include: - Education in industrial, mechanical, or electromechanical technician fields. - Possession of a valid Boiler Operator Certification as per local regulations. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. In addition to the qualifications, you should have: - 13 years of experience operating industrial boilers or thermal equipment. - Experience with steam systems, combustion, and water treatment is preferred. - Knowledge of combustion, heat transfer, and various fuels such as gas, diesel, and biomass. - Ability to read P&IDs, technical manuals, and measurement instruments. - Basic skills in mechanical and electrical maintenance.
