Job Description

Locations: Pune Job Responsibilities: Design and develop power electronics platforms for electric vehicles, specifically focusing on solid-state relay design and control, signal conditioning, data acquisition blocks for the Battery Management System (BMS), and DC-DC converters (isolated or non-isolated). Establish product specifications and derive system architectures for the aforementioned applications. Conduct layout and packaging of electronic parts within the vehicle, ensuring functionality and manufacturability. Perform simulations and analyses (e.g., worst-case, Monte Carlo, tolerance stack-up, power dissipation, stress, signal noise, fidelity) to support component selection, system architecture, and topology decisions. Design signal acquisition systems, converter topologies, and define vehicle communication interfaces. Demonstrate a solid understanding of time and frequency domains for analog signals, ADC operations, error factors, and ADC calibration methods to improve signal-to-noise ratio (SNR). Stay up-to-date on global trends, technologies, and regulations, and develop long-term roadmaps and work plans. Lead the design of power components such as power switches, resistors, gate drivers, capacitors, magnetics, and filters. Work closely with cross-functional teams on functional safety, thermal management, packaging, EMI/EMC, FMEA, and worst-case analysis. Lead field failure analysis, identify root causes, and develop corrective action plans. Have a strong understanding of high-voltage BMS architecture and related functional blocks for operational and safety concerns. Apply design rules for high-voltage battery electrical and BMS design. Define and audit production setups, ensuring efficiency and improvement in production yield. Technical Skills : Expertise in designing and developing power electronics for electric vehicles, specifically BMS hardware, solid-state relays, signal conditioning, data acquisition, and DC-DC converters. Strong experience with product specification, system architecture design, and layout of electronic parts. Knowledge of simulations and analysis techniques (e.g., worst-case, Monte Carlo, power dissipation). Familiarity with vehicle communication interfaces and ADC calibration for improved signal SNR. Experience with high-voltage BMS architecture and functional blocks for operation and safety. Hands-on experience in design, schematic capture, and PCB layout for automotive or industrial systems. Knowledge of automotive standards and regulations, such as ISO26262 functional safety, CISPR EMC, and automotive product development processes. Experience with DFSS methodology, field failure analysis, and corrective action plans. Familiarity with lab equipment (e.g., oscilloscopes, multi-meters, spectrum analyzers). Specific Expertise: Familiarity with electric vehicle standards and regulations, including ISO26262 functional safety and CISPR EMC. Experience in designing BMS hardware for automotive, industrial, or medical systems. Proficiency in electronics circuit design, schematic capture, PCB layout, and working with common lab equipment
