Blood Bank Technician

1. Job Summary

Responsible to collect the sample, carry out the test, provide results and issue blood or blood components as per requirement

2. Working Hours: General / Shift duties

1.4 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1.4.1 To maintain list of donors

1.4.2 To perform all the required test, medical history, physical examination etc

1.4.3 To take consent from donor

1.4.4 To collect sample as per SOP

1.4.5 To label bags correctly

1.4.6 To maintain storage of blood / blood components

1.4.7 To ensure component preparation

1.4.8 To tests for HIV / HbsAG / HCV

1.4.9 To check the requisition slip

1.4.10 To carry out cross matching

1.4.11 To issue blood to the right person after checking and documentation

1.4.12 To maintain correct temperature of freezer, incubator, room etc.

1.4.13 To follow strict aseptic procedure

1.4.14 To ensure proper segregation of waste

1.4.15 To ensure safety

1.4.16 To follow quality control program

1.4.17 To maintain all the registers

1.4.18 To maintain all the equipment and timely servicing

1.4.19 To report of all the relevant issues to Blood Bank Officer

1.4.20 To attend training programs

1.5 Skills Required: Sound subject knowledge and good analytical and assessment skills.

1.6 Working Condition: Closed environment within the hospital ,dealing with blood and blood products, handling multiple tasks simultaneously

2.1 Educational Qualification: BBT, DMLT

2.2 Experience Required: 1 to 3 years

2.3 Physical Requirement: NIL

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹16,000.00 - ₹28,000.00 per month
